Botta de Vino

Our website and our store are both currently in the process of being built. What you see today may not be there tomorrow. 
Creativity is a living monster and that leaves the door open for us to change our minds on design. 
However, State Laws dictate what we are allowed to do and my wife and I may change our mind 
on certain designs and ideas based on that as well. 
All in all we really appreciate your interest in our wine store. 

What's Going On?

Botta di Vino was discovered by a casting agent 
in November of 2009, for the 
Discovery Channel.
She was interested in our business as a candidate for a new 
T.V. Production called
"CONSTRUCTION INTERVENTION",
a show that provides help to small businesses 
who are in need of it.


This involved our cooperation 
by not having anything done to our shop for awhile. 
Why? Because, if and when we were chosen a 
construction crew would come in at that moment  
and take over our current renovation. 
This would all be done for free and would be filmed as 
an episode on T.V.

 
Our biggest concern was Our Neighbors. 
We were assured that the construction would only last four days from the day we are notified, that all immediate neighbors would be informed 
and would be offered lodging at the 
Discovery Channel's expense because of the noise. 


As you have witnessed this past week, we did get chosen for the show. 
Botta di Vino was not notified until Tuesday, February 2nd. 
Demolition and renovation began at that moment,
to be completed by Saturday February 6th. 


THANK YOU for your tolerance of the noise and disruption, 
and any other inconvenience this may have caused you. 
We understand it was not easy.  
By contract with the Discovery Channel, we were required to stay away from the neighborhood during construction.  
We were only allowed into the neighborhood for brief interviews.  


We would not have been able to complete this project 
without the help of the Discovery Channel.

It's like winning the lottery!  We are so grateful and happy that 
everyone in Red Hook will get to share it with us. 
Opening will be on or around March 1st.
